Day 1: Arrival (Tirana International Airport)

Day 2: Explore Albania

Dajti mountain

Driving from the hotel to Dajti mountain cable-car at 9:00 am. Dajti Adventure Park, the only adventure park in Albania is located in a green area of Dajti Mountain a short walk from Dajti Cable Car. Dajti Cable car is already one of favorite attractions in Tirana, because it offers spectacular views and a very nice ride up to the mountain. Located just outside the city; Dajti cable car makes the longest cableway in the Balkans. With this a new addition, Dajti Express has everything for a perfect weekend trip. Dajti Adventure Park expects to attract not only adventurous people but also families, since the park allows entertainment for kids and adults. Activities such as zip lining and passing through rope bridges are considered moderate and can be enjoyed by most ages. Dajti Adventure Park and playing minigolf is optional.

Dajti Tirana city tour

Visiting Skanderbeg Square which is the main plaza in the centre of Tirana, Albania. The square is named after the Albanian national hero Gjergj Kastrioti Skënderbeu. The Skanderbeg Monument dominates the square. Et’hem Bey Mosque - Clock tower

Fortress of Justinian

The Fortress of Justinian, known simply as Tirana Castle is the only one found in the city centre. The fortress is where at one time the main east–west & north–south roads crossed, forming the heart of the town as it was then. The castle's history dates back prior to 1300. The walls are 6 m high and are a remnant from the Byzantine era. It is located near Parliament and the Academy of Sciences, not far from Skanderbeg Square. Grand Park (Parku i Madh) The Artificial Lake. It is the perfect place to spend a sunny day, in any season; the perfect place to see how nature awakens during spring, the sweet escape from the summer heat underneath all the trees, the chance to watch the golden ground made of leaves on autumn and a little spot to catch those warm rays of sun during winter.

Day 3: Local Tours

Kruje

Center of Albanian resistance against the Ottomans under our National Hero Scanderbeg. He kept the Ottoman armies from crossing into Western Europe for 25 years, thus earning the title “Athleta Christi” awarded by the pope of the time. We will visit the Skanderbeg Museum, one of the best in the country and a rich Ethnographic Museum with almost all items being original from the end of the 19th century.

Bovilla lake

Lake Bovilla (Bovilla reservoir) is one of the most amazing hidden gems of Albania. This reservoir provides most of the drinking water for the capital of Albania, Tirana. Located around 15 km from the capital of Albania, Tirana makes the place very reachable. You can go there for a picnic or if you want some more adventures you can hike to the Gamti mountain where the view of Bovilla Lake is amazing. Overnight in Tirana.

Day 4: On the way to Shkoder visiting Kruja

Rozafa castle, Shkoder

The legend of Rozafa is about the strength of women who sacrifice their lives for something bigger. Today, Rozafa Castle is one of the most interesting places to visit in Albania and is a must-see for anyone who spends time in the enchanting town of Shkodra.

Lake of Shkodra

This lake is the largest in southern Europe. One part of it is in Albania and the other one in Montenegro. It is also known for its amazing biodiversity. Overnight in Tirana.

Day 5: Traveling to Berat

Start driving from Tirana to Berat. Quick stop in Belsh to enjoy a coffee with a view. Visiting Berat Castle is a fortress overlooking the town of Berat, Albania. It dates mainly from the 13th century and contains many Byzantine churches in the area and Ottoman mosques. It is built on a rocky hill on the left bank of the river Osum and is accessible only from the south. The narrow stone paths go uphill in-between characteristic houses. It is where local ladies are selling traditionally handcrafted linen dating from their grandmother’s times. Some of the ladies will introduce us to some of the techniques of how they handcrafted all the linens. What makes the city and especially the castle more interesting is the fact that people are still living there, as they were centuries before. Berat Castle, also referred to as the Citadel of Berat and castle quarter, is a fortress overlooking the town of Berat.

National Iconographic Museum “Onufri”

Visit the "Onufri" Museum dedicated to Byzantine art and iconography, located inside the castle. Onufri was the most famous church painter. Unique in his style for the mix of red, orange and gold color, a technique that is still undiscovered. National Ethnographic Museum Situated within a striking, typical 18th century two-story Berat residence, that contains a diversity of everyday objects from throughout the history of the city.

Gorica Bridge over the Osum river is a landmark in the city of Berat, Albania. It is one of the oldest and most popular Ottoman bridges in Albania. Overnight in Tirana

Day 6: City Tours

Pogradec

The road to Pogradec passes along the shore of the tectonic Lake Ohrid, the deepest lake in the Balkans (285 m). This 2-4 million year old lake is under UNESCO protection due to its unique value and is home 17 species of aquatic animals, 70% of which are native and 30% migrant. The sponge of Ohrid is found only here and in Lake Baikal. By the lakeside you will find an array of restaurants, clubs, and comfortable hotels. You must not miss a taste of the traditional fish dishes, especially the baked speckled trout (Koran in Albanian), as well as the famous pickles. You might also sample the various wines on offer, but don’t miss the traditional unique wine of Buti, or the famous Perla and Moskat raki of Pogradec. The city, with its mild climate, lends itself to year-round visits. Before leaving Pogradec don’t miss Drilon and Tushemisht, just 4-5 km south of the city. The Drilon waters form a small lake, surrounded by beautiful greenery that makes the area and the nearby village of Tushemisht a unique oasis of beauty and tranquility.

Petrela Castle

The castle of Petrelë has a rich history, containing a tower which was built in the 6th century AD. It is one of the tourist locations close to Tirana that attracts a great number of visitors. The Castle, the prominent wooden structure is a restaurant, is perched on a rocky hill, above the village with the same name. It has a triangular shape with two observation towers. Although it was first built in ancient times, the present building dates from the 15th century. You can also do activities like zip - line there.

Day 7: Explore More Places
