Arrival to airport, welcome and assistance. Transfer to hotel. Diner and overnight in the hotel 4*or 5* or similar.
After breakfast, depart for Museum Bardo, with its unparalleled collection of Roman mosaics, sections covering the Punic, Roman, early Christian, Greek and Islamic periods (1h 15). Depart for Carthage, visit of Carthage, the Tophet, Antonine Baths, Punic port (1 hour). Lunch in Carthage or La Goulette. On to Sidi Bou Said. Walk in the pittoresque village, Sidi Bou Said is under reputation as a town of artists. Return to Tunis, free walk at Medina, very particular ancient village. Arrival to hammamet Diner and overnight in hotel 4* /5* or similar.
After breakfast, travel to the holy city of Kairouan, former capital of Tunisia, visit of the Great Mosque, of Mausoleum, free time to visit Medina and the Aghlabides tanks, this is an open air reservoir built in the 9th century measuring 28 metres in diameter (1 hour). Lunch in hotel in Gafsa. Continuation to Tozeur, visit of Oasis and overnight at 4* hotel In the evening: Visit of the traditional museum Dar Chraiet (1 hour) with possibility to assist on a folkloric evening. After breakfast,possibility of excursion in 4x4 to discover wonderful scenery to the mountain oasis of Chebika where you can climb a steep escarpment of fossilised shells above a waterfall for an unparalleled panorama of the desert landscape and visit the star wars filming location "ONG JMel" (facultative). Visit the medina of Tozeur, built in the 14th-century, has a unique, striking architecture of pale brickwork. Departure for Douz, cross the huge expanse of the Chott El Jerid salt lake, where you can walk on its cracked surface and buy crystalline desert roses. In Douz ,possibility to have a unique experience on the back of a camel (camel riding (optional) diner and overnight in 4* hotel.
After breakfast, depart for Matmata, Matmata has many of the best examples of troglodyte architecture in the world : vertical caves dug by man into soft sandstone, usually formed as a circle, with doors and rooms dug in from the vertical walls, the Star Wars film was shot here. Lunch in Matmata then continuing to Djerba via Medenine. Overnight and dinner in 4* hotel.
After breakfast,Depart to explore the Djerba Island : visit to the berber small village of Guellala,famous with its tipical potery and the traditional women clothes ,visit of the jewish synagogue of Djerba,then free walk in Houmt-Souk.
After breakfast, depart to Gabes (free time in the small spice market : Souk Jara). On to El Jem. Visit of the colosseum (1 hour), on to Sousse. Bref stop at Port El Kantaoui. Diner and overnight in 4* or5* or similar.
